Once you receive your PRO SKI® SENSOR, you must follow the next steps to install them on your boots and enjoy the most of everything PRO SKI® SENSOR has to offer. Read these steps carefully and use the quick guides that you can access through the QR you received with your sensors.
-
- STEP ONE: Download the App
- Download the app from the Apple or Android shop. Find your App here
- Once you have installed the App, create your user. You can log in directly with your Facebook, Apple or Google account.
- Go to the user menu and fill in all the missing data of your profile. They are necessary for the calculations to be made correctly.
- Turn on the sensors by pressing the red y blue buttons and once the lights are steady, access your phone's WIFI settings and search for your device (the name is on the label on the box). Enter the password: your device's serial number from the label.
- Now, remove the sliding fasteners with the red sensor sticker from the case and save them for the next steps. Don't be impatient, it's important.
- STEP ONE: Download the App
-
- STEP TWO: Calibration
- Once you have connected to the WIFI correctly, we must proceed to calibrate the devices. To do this, we place them in a vertical position on a flat surface.
- Go to the menu Settings / sensor instructions. Make sure they are vertical and do not move during the calibration process (it only takes a few seconds).
- Execute the "Main Calibration" command. During the process the lights on your sensors will flash until they finally become steady again. Your sensors are now calibrated and ready for use both INDOOR and OUTDOOR. (This process should not be repeated without the instructions of the technical service).
- STEP THREE: Installation in your Boots
Now we use the fasteners with the red adhesive.
Pay close attention to this section to ensure that the installation is optimal and that you do not compromise the fastening of the sensors or the installation materials. Take it easy.
-
- The devices should always be placed on the upper back part of the boot, always with a margin that allows us to remove the sensors at the end of the day's skiing without forcing the supports (2-3 cm below the boot straps). The devices should always be protected by your ski trousers.
-
- Clean the area very well with a little alcohol to ensure that they adhere perfectly. It is important to.
- Remove the red protector from the adhesive, place it on the boot and press hard for a few seconds. The longer you press the better the hold.
Your boots are now ready to use the devices... there's just one final step before you can enjoy your sensors in the snow.
- STEP FOUR: Set origin position
-
- Place the sensors on the newly attached brackets, always the sensor with the button on the right and the button on the right. blue on the right and the button red on the left.
- We place the boots on a completely horizontal surfaceone boot close to the other in a skiing position.
- In the same menu of Settings / Sensor Instructions, we proceed to execute the "Set origin position". The lights will flash rapidly until they are fixed again.
They are now ready to enjoy your PRO SKI® SENSOR.
Attention, Important. This process only needs to be done when you receive them, or if you change the boots in which you want to use the devices. This procedure serves to ensure that your sensors eliminate any error of placement in your boots and the results are as accurate as possible.
To make sure that they are well calibrated, we can access the INDOOR mode and start a TRACK well calibratedTo make sure that they have been properly calibrated, we can access the INDOOR mode and start a TRACK with the boots in the same position that we have executed the "Set origin position". We can check that both sensors are indicating the same values and that they have to be less than one and practically identical. The sensors measure your inclination with an accuracy of 2 decimal places, so hundredths of a degree difference is not relevant, but the more equal they are, the better the results will be.
If the difference is greater than 1, repeat the "Set origin position" and make sure they are on a completely flat surface.
YOU HAVE READY your PRO SKI® SENSOR ready to enjoy the snow.
INDOOR
If in addition to using your sensors on your boots (indoor and outdoor) you also want to use them on your machine PRO SKI® to enjoy an analysis of your technique, you must place them in the bottom of the skates the brackets included in the package with the white adhesive. Once fixed, we proceed to connect and we have to perform the "Set origin position" so that our sensors know that they are positioned on the skates and not on the boots.
To make this adjustment, you must position the carriage in the centre and with the rubber bands on, place a ruler or similar on top of the runners so that they are completely flat. Both runners must be in their 0 position..
Now you can also enjoy your sensors during your training on the machines. PRO SKI®.
IMPORTANT:
If you use your sensors INDOOR (not with boots) and OUTDOOR, you must run the "Set origin position" each time you switch from boots to skates. change from boots to skatesas indicated in the previous steps.
For example, during the week, you use your devices in Indoor with your skates, then you should run the "Set origin calibration" on the first day. If you go to the snow at the weekend, you should run the "Set origin position" on your boots again before skiing.
The device stores its last position of origin, boots or skates. If it is not the one corresponding to the use you are going to make of themIf it does not, you will have errors in the calculations.
CAUTION: DO NOT SUBJECT THE DEVICES TO ANY HEAT SOURCE. THIS MAY CAUSE IRREPARABLE DAMAGE TO THE SENSOR AND ITS COMPONENTS.
TECHNICAL SUPPORT
Please contact PRO SKI® SENSOR Development if you have any problem and it is not solved in this section.
It is important that you take your time installing the sensors for both INDOOR and OUTDOOR.
Read the complete instructions first and then start the installation and connectivity of the sensors. This is important to ensure proper operation:
-
- Place your sensors in the charging base for a minimum of 8 hours to complete the installation and connectivity process.
- Place the stickers in the correct position according to the instructions in the Manual. It is important that you slowly place the stickers so that you do not have to peel them off. Do not mind a slight deviation since, when performing the calibration step, the sensors recognize their position, but try to avoid deviations.
- The sensors
- Download the App PRO SKI® SENSOR (IOS - Android) and fill in all the data requested.
- It meets the requirements of the App regarding GPS and Wifi detailed below.
- Activate the sensors and connect them to your phone through the sensors' own wifi.
- The sensors are placed on the machine and on the boots with the power buttons on the outer sides of the devices. Red button (left sensor), blue button (right sensor).
- Carefully carry out the calibration process both on a machine and on your boots PRO SKI® as well as on your boots (mainly).
- Perform your checks manually by moving your boots or the skids of the machine with movements to both sides.
IMPORTANT
Take your time to perform the installation and connectivity procedure so that your sensors will perform optimally.
Be sure to place your sensors with their power buttons on the outer sides of the sensors.
App PRO SKI® SENSOR
The App is available on IOS and ANDROID.
They are different systems, each with its own characteristics.
Important
-
- Download the IOS or ANDORID App
- Do not block the sensor's wifi: "Stay connected".
- Your phone's GPS must be operational
WIFI
The sensors have their own WIFI connection as indicated in the installation manual.
IMPORTANT. If when connecting the WIFI of the sensors on your phone appears the message
"This WIFI connection does not have internet access, do you still want to stay connected?
We will always answer YES
This is the sensor-specific wifi.
Note that the management of wifi networks, have differences in IOS and Android affecting the connection speed.
WIFI communication outages are a common occurrence on Android phones. To avoid interruptions in the recording of your Tracks while doing INDOOR training, put your phone in airplane mode as it does not require GPS data.
In OUTDOOR mode it is not necessary since we would cut the communication with the GPS.
The connection on some devices may be interrupted by incoming calls, messages, WhatsApp, apps running at the same time (music playback). If you are recording a track it can be interrupted by any of these situations. The only thing that will happen is that there are chances that you will lose the information of that track.
Tutorial Mode with wireless headphones may be affected by the quality of the device (Android), as well as the combined use of Bluetooth and WIFI on some devices may interfere with proper operation.
GPS
GPS does not work with the same positioning quality on different IOS or Android systems.
GPS accuracy depends on the quality and age of the phone, as well as the mobile coverage in the area.
Do not keep the GPS function or permissions locked. Let the GPS track.
The App uses the phone's GPS to locate the slopes map. Please note that if your phone does not have mobile coverage because you are skiing in an area with very little or no coverage, there will be no positioning or GPS data.
The GPS in Tutorial Mode (Audio), is more sensitive on the Android system than IOS.
DEVICE CHARGING
When you receive the sensors, place them in the charging base for at least 2 hours if you are going to start them up when you receive them, but like any device and to optimize the battery, it is recommended that you proceed with an overnight charge.
In regular use, don't forget to leave them charged overnight so that you can use them the next day, whether for training or a full day's skiing.
Although battery life is sufficient for a full day's skiing, it can be affected by extreme temperatures, battery age and other external factors.
You will know that your sensors are charged:
-
- for the two lights you see on before you connect to them via wifi
- battery" icon on the app screen, in OUTDOOR mode
CHANGE MY POSITION SENSORS: HORIZONTAL - VERTICAL
IMPORTANT. I use my sensors on my training machine and on the track.
What do I have to do when I change my sensors from horizontal to vertical position and vice versa:
-
- Training on my machine with module B-Type: Position of the sensors Horizontal
- I train on my machine with P-Type module with my ski boots: Vertical sensor positions
- I'm going to the ski resort with the sensors: Sensor position Vertical
The sensors need to be informed of these changes.
To do this, each time you change their position, access the App menu in "User" - "Settings" and execute the option "Set Origin position".
You will see the lights flashing, wait until they are steady.
The instruction sets the position in which the sensors are located.
Acoustic signals
INDOOR
In INDOOR training on a PRO SKI simulator machine, the PRO SKI Sensor App emits an acoustic signal indicating that the angulation of its edges is correct according to the type of training selected. If it does not emit an acoustic signal, pay attention to your corrections.
OUTDOOR
In the TUTORIAL mode, you receive messages according to the quality of your spins depending on the selected level. You will be corrected as you perform the turn or you will be congratulated and encouraged to continue.
-
- Correct your ski Edge. Correct your edge. This signal will indicate you, at the moment you are making the turn, if you are NOT meeting the criteria of the selected level.
-
- Bing, Bing, Bing. Bing. Your turn meets the criteria of the selected level.
- When you have 4 Bing or 4 consecutive correct turns, the Tutorial congratulates you on the 5th turn.
Keep it up, you are doing very well. Keep it up, you are doing well
Illuminated signs
Charging base. Blue light indicates for each sensor that charging is in progress. It is maintained even when charging is finished.
SENSORS
-
- When the sensors are initiated, they emit a flashing white light. This blinking effect disappears for 1 or 2 seconds and then blinks again until the white light is fixed. This will indicate that the sensors are connected to each other and ready for use.
- When you start a track, the white light on each sensor flashes slowly. After that you won't see them anymore, basically because they are attached to your boots and protected by your ski pants.
Make sure that the position of the sensors is correct. The power buttons should be on the outer side of the sensors or the red button on the left sensor and the blue button on the right sensor.
If in your app during a training session or during a downhill run, you do not receive results of your turns, check the sensors.
If they are not flashing as above and one sensor or the other is off or with the steady light on, they are not communicating with each other. Reset each sensor by pressing the red power button for about 5 seconds until they turn off.
Switching on and off
To turn on the sensors, press the power button on each sensor for 2 seconds; red on the left sensor and blue on the right sensor.
Turning off the sensors by simply holding down the red button for a few seconds will turn off both sensors at the same time.
TRACK
A track is recorded by user prompts. In both INDOOR and OUTDOOR you have to press Start and End.
Make sure when you finish your training or skiing day that you finish the last track before turning off the sensors. Otherwise you will lose the information of this last track.
SPECIAL CARE
Be careful with the chair lifts. Do not allow the chair to hit the devices.
Be sure to turn them off at the end of the day and store them in their case.
